CO’s Welcome

My name is Flight Lieutenant Peter Tipping and I have the honour to be a serving Officer with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training), [R.A.F.V.R. (T)] as well as the Officer Commanding No 611 (Woodvale) Squadron – Air Cadets.

While browsing this site, I hope you can get a feel for what is on offer from the Air Cadets generally and our Squadron in particular.

You should note that all of the activities we offer are undertaken by Cadets on a “voluntary” basis, so it’s up to you what you do and what you take part in.

The Air Cadets is generally open to boys and girls, between the ages of thirteen and seventeen but all ages start on our Squadron in the “Recruit Flight”. Each year we organise two “intakes” for new Cadets. The timing of the two intakes is set to suit our training programme.

So if you are interested contact the squadron and speak to me or one of my Officers and leave your contact details.
As the recruitment intake date nears we will contact you and let you know what night and time to attend.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Flight Lieutenant P. Tipping, RAFVR(T).
Officer Commanding No. 611 (Woodvale) Squadron – Air Cadets.
